English Counsellor Based in Amsterdam

Talking about your feelings can evoke vulnerability, it can feel exposing and uncomfortable.  Until now, you may have pushed those feelings down, locked them away in a box or numbed them out. I can see why that may have felt the 'easier' option.

But over time, these responses can become limiting and exhausting, making it harder to connect with yourself and others.  You don’t have to figure it out alone.

I offer a safe and confidential space where you can gently explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. Together, we can uncover what’s holding you back and find healthier ways to move forward.

A safe space

Deciding to start therapy is a big step. I understand it may feel daunting.

My priority is to create a calm, judgment-free space where you can speak openly, at a pace that feels right for you.

Life Challenges

Even when everything looks fine on the outside, life can feel overwhelming. You may find yourself:

  • Avoiding difficult conversations, responsibilities, or emotions.

  • Feeling dissatisfied with life, work, or relationships but unsure why

  • Struggling with direction, feeling lost or disconnected

  • Neglecting your own needs to please others

  • Using work, substances, sex, or relationships as a way to escape.

If this souds familiar, you're not alone. Many people experience these challenges, and therapy can help.

Benefits of Counselling

In therapy, we often look back to move forward—exploring your experiences, thoughts, and emotions to understand what’s shaping your current patterns.  I work with individuals experiencing:

  • Anxiety – Persistent worry, overthinking, or a sense of dread

  • Low self-esteem – Feeling “not good enough” or unworthy

  • Neglecting personal needs – Struggling with boundaries or self-care

  • Difficulty expressing emotions – Feeling unheard, misunderstood, or suppressed

  • Anger & rage – Outbursts, frustration, or resentment

  • Loss & grief – Adjusting after loss, big life changes, or past wounds

Counselling can help you recognise these patterns and develop healthier ways to navigate life. Let’s start the conversation—reach out today.

I am a qualified Person-Centred Counsellor, integrating Transactional Analysis, a talking therapy approach that draws from humanistic, psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioural methods.

Give me a call or drop me a message and we can start your conversation.

I also offer youth counselling.

Youth Counselling

Youth Counselling

15-18 Year Olds

I have been working with young people since 2014, many of whom are neurodivergent.

During this time a core thread running through all of their experiences has been isolation and exclusion, be it; from their friends, a parent, moving area/country, education and for some, ultimately exclusion from their true self.

What happens as a result of this isolation and exclusion varies from a loss of direction, self-belief and/or a paralysing fear of not being good enough. When you throw in an addiction to social media, these feelings and thoughts are further compounded.

This isolation and exclusion – and associated pain – can often be hidden by responses of “I don’t care” or “what is the point”. I see beyond this to their mental, and often, physical anguish.

I offer counselling in the following areas for young people aged 15-18 years:

  • Anxiety

  • Low self esteem

  • Low confidence

  • Anger issues

  • Loss and bereavement

  • Expat adjustment

If you are a young person or a parent/care giver and would like to discuss your situation and what I can offer in a talking therapy capacity, please give me a call or drop me a message.
